President: André Langenberger

AndreHello New Jersey TSA! I am André Langenberger, your State President. I am a senior at Howell High School and have been involved with TSA since the sixth grade. Last year, I acted as State Parliamentarian for New Jersey TSA and could not be more excited to have been chosen as your State President for the 2015 – 2016 year. This organization has made a great influence on my life. I believe it is time for me to use the skills I have learned from six years of being involved with TSA to help benefit the organization directly. My hope is to take an already incredible organization, and lead it to grow, strengthen, and become even more influential to other students, as it has done for me all these years.

Vice-President: Priscilla Wong

PriscillaHello NJ TSA! My name is Priscilla Wong and I’m your TSA State Vice President.
I am a senior at High Technology High School, and this is my third year in TSA. TSA has been an extraordinary learning experience that has increased my interest in the sciences and gave me many opportunities to challenge myself. Through TSA, I was able to explore the depths of science and technology that further fueled my passions. Outside of TSA, I am involved in my Class Council and my high school Varsity Swim Team. I also enjoy playing the piano, expressing myself musically, and sketching, expressing myself artistically. This year, as a TSA state officer for the second year, I greatly look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for the organization and what it stands for, as well as working with amazing people who share the same interests in technology and the same goals in the scientific field.

Secretary: Robbie McMurray

Robbie

Hi! My name is Robbie McMurray and I am currently a senior at Clearview Regional High School. I am your 2015-2016 NJ TSA Secretary, and I’ve been a member of TSA since freshman year. Since then, I have competed at our state level in Manufacturing Prototype, and at the national level in Prepared Presentation and Career Preparation. Outside of TSA, you can find me swimming, and involved as a member in Student Council. I enjoy swimming, fishing, kiting, and trying my luck at skill-toys. I am excited to be your State Secretary this year and I look forward to yet another great year in TSA!

Treasurer: Alexander Murtagh

Alex

Hello New Jersey TSA! My name is Alexander Murtagh and I am currently a senior at The Marine Academy of Science and Technology. I am pleased to serve you as this year’s NJ TSA Treasurer. I have been a member of TSA since my freshman year, and I have enjoyed my time as a member since then. Since joining, I have competed in Future Technology Teacher, Debating Technological Issues, and On-Demand Video. I have enjoyed working on all of these events because they have pushed and challenged me to do so much. Outside of TSA, I am involved in several clubs, such as Key Club, JROTC Drill team, and Mock Trail club. I also practice traditional martial arts and I compete in Tae Kwon Do competitions year round. I look forward to having the best year yet, and doing everything I can to improve TSA!

Reporter: Matthew Petersen

Matthew

Hello New Jersey TSA members! My name is Matthew Petersen and this year
I will be serving as your State Reporter. I am currently a junior attending Howell High School and I have been in TSA since sixth grade. I have competed in many events, although my favorite was Dragster, a competition in which I placed first for the state in 2010. Math, science, and technology are huge passions of mine and that is why I love TSA (as well as it being really fun and competitive). Throughout my membership I have always had a great time and I pride myself on being a part of the association. Outside of TSA I love working with computers, playing video games, and long-boarding. It is very exciting to be returning as a state officer and I look forward to a great year!

Hello fellow NJ TSA members! My name is Saurin Patel and it is my privilege to serve you as your New Jersey State Historian. I am a Senior at Clearview Regional High School. I have been in TSA since freshman year, making this my fourth year in TSA and second year as a state officer. In TSA, I compete in Video Game Design and Vex Robotics. I had the opportunity to go to nationals and was a finalist for both
competitions. I really love TSA because it really pushes my mind to think out of the box and I like to work on projects that are fun and related to technology. Outside of TSA, I play the drums in my school’s marching band and play tennis for Clearview’s team. I am also involved in Student Council, Key Club, DECA, NHS and I am a Star Mentor. I am looking forward to serving our state organization again this year and hope to see you all at this year’s state conference.

I love to go to the beach as well as go biking with my friends. I am involved with many other clubs at my school,

As your state Parliamentarian, I hope to benefit the NJ TSA program and bring my ideas to the table. I look forward to working with the other officers and I hope to see you all at this year’s state conference.
