Hello NJ TSA Members! The state board and I had a wonderful time meeting all of the chapter officers at the 2016 NJ TSA Leadership Conference, and we cannot wait to see you all again soon. Hopefully you were able to take some of the skills we taught you back to your chapters. Congratulations to the winners of the design challenge we hosted (it was Quidditch themed!) and also to the winners of the Halloween costume contest and the pin design contest.
I am sure most of you ate a ton last week on Thanksgiving (I DEFINITELY did), and spent time appreciating the company of your friends and family. As I started thinking about exactly what I’m thankful for in my life (aside from food obviously), I realized that TSA has given me so many opportunities and has opened doors for me that have led to incredible accomplishments. I am extremely thankful for the immense amount of technological skills and education that TSA has provided me with. Without TSA, I probably would have never discovered my passion for robotics and I definitely would not have been able to meet all the great mentors, advisors, and fellow students who have had a huge impact on my life. Although this past Thanksgiving I sat at the dinner table with my closest family members and relatives, my heart was also with my other family… My TSA family, who has become such an important factor in my life. I am thankful for every single one of the people I have met on my journey through TSA, and I am especially thankful to NJ TSA as whole for building me into the person I am today.
So now that I have basically poured my heart out (I can get a bit sappy), I challenge you to think about what you’re thankful for in TSA. What has TSA given you? Who have you met along the way? Where have you gone and where do you hope to go?
I hope you all are getting to work on your projects for the State Conference, and I can’t wait to see and meet you all there! :)
