2021-2022 State Officers

President: Sahil Maher

Sahil Maher Hi New Jersey TSA! My name is Sahil Maher and I am your NJ TSA State President. I am currently a junior at Freehold Township High School, and this is my sixth year in TSA. I’ve attended five state and two national conferences and have placed in events such as Debating Technology Issues, Leadership Strategies, STEM Animation, Community Service Video, and TEAMS. TSA has become a large part of my life, and I am ecstatic to contribute all I can to our state organization. Outside of TSA, I am a swimmer and a lifeguard as well as volunteer with the American Red Cross and CentraState Medical Center. My goal for our delegation is to ensure that we all stay connected, informed, and innovative no matter what adventures we might have to face. It is my humble honor to be your 2021-2022 NJ TSA State President and I can not wait for a successful year ahead!

 Vice-President: Harrison Adler

Harrison Adler

Hi NJ TSA! My name is Harrison Adler and I am the 2021-2022 State Vice President! I am a senior at the Marine Academy of Science and Technology, with this being my fourth year in TSA. I have done events in Video Game Design, Music Design, and Cybersecurity, going to Nationals in 2019! Over the last 3 years, I have undertaken more and more responsibility and have become more and more involved in TSA. It is extremely important to me to assist Sahil in running the board the best I can. Besides TSA, I am involved in volunteering at food banks in coordination with my school, and I love music, video games, and drawing! I cannot wait to do the best job possible this year with the committee!

 Secretary: Samantha Montalbine

Samantha Montalbine

Hello New Jersey TSA! My name is Samantha Montalbine and I am honored to say that I am your 2021-2022 State Secretary! I am currently a Senior at Freehold Township High School and, as I joined this spectacular club my freshman year, this will be my fourth and final year in TSA. Over the years, I have specified in VEX Robotics but, since the pandemic, I have participated in both the Essays on Technology and the Future Technology and Engineering Teacher events. Since joining, TSA has become possibly my favorite club ever, as it has had a large part in forming the person I am today: a leader, a future engineer, and a kid who just loves technology. While my main focus in my school is usually on leading as President of my school’s chapter, outside of TSA, I am also President of the Raffaello Sanzio Italian Honor Society chapter, a Staff Writer for my school press, a competitor for its Science League team, and a volunteer tutor in Calculus. When not in school, however, I am most likely outside spending time with my family or chickens. I am more than overjoyed to serve as Secretary for the remainder of this year, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings!

Treasurer: Aspen Tabar

Aspen Tabar Hello NJ TSA! My name is Aspen Tabar and I am thrilled to serve as your 2021-2022 state Treasurer! I am currently a senior at Clearview Regional High School and this is my third year participating in TSA. Over the past three years in TSA, I have been able to meet new friends, advance my knowledge in STEM, and win awards! Last year while serving as my chapter President, I placed top 10 at Nationals competing in my favorite events, Music Production and Engineering Design. Outside of TSA, I play competitive ice hockey and participate in Latin Club, Mental Health Awareness Club, and Math League. This year, I am beyond excited to work with my fellow state officers and to ensure a productive, unified, and especially fun year! Go NJ TSA!

Sergeant-At-Arms: Michael Tepperman

Michael Tepperman

Hi New Jersey TSA! My name is Michael Tepperman, and I’ll be serving as your State Sergeant-at-Arms for this next school year. I’m currently a Junior at Biotechnology High School, and I’ve been a member of TSA for three years. In this time, I’ve competed in a variety of competitions, and placed in the state in both the Webmaster and Geospatial Technology competitions. TSA is very important to me, and I’m really excited to have the opportunity to play such an active role in its affairs. I’m looking forward to competing in Geospatial Technology again this year, as well as helping to plan the State Conference. Outside of TSA, I’m an active member of my school’s Academic Team, as well as my school’s Student Government Association. In my free time, I like to practice guitar, work out, and read. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to make this year in TSA the best it can possibly be, and I hope to see you all at the State Conference!

Reporter: Gavin Corley

Gavin Corley Hello NJ TSA! My name is Gavin Corley and I am your State Reporter for the 2021-2022 school year. I am a senior at Clearview Regional High School, and this is my 3rd year in TSA. I believe TSA is great because you can express your creativity in a variety of ways. Other than TSA, I participate in club and high school soccer, student council, and math league. We as state officers have been eager to start the year off well, and have excellent plans for the upcoming months. I am excited for this year of TSA, and I hope you are, too!

Historian: Khushi Patel

Khushi Patel My name is Khushi Patel and I attend the Marine Academy of Science and Technology. I am holding the position of Historian for the 2021-2022 NJ TSA Board. My job entails maintaining records of minutes, photographs, articles, newsletters, listed honors of members, conference information, and gathering content for our website and social media. I first joined TSA as a freshman in high school and over the years I have found myself becoming increasingly involved in the club. Not only do I love competing in TSA’s events, but also I have a deep appreciation for the inconceivably adroit individuals this club allows me to associate myself with. Outside of TSA, I play field hockey, work as a lifeguard, dance, and dedicate my time toward service. My goals this year include creating a clear line of communication between the chapters and the state officer team, developing professional accounts for all TSA events, and strengthening our advertisement capabilities to bring TSA closer to a household name. I look forward to having the opportunity to initiate change within our state and make this a memorable year for all of you.
