NJTEEA Logo Design Contest for Teachers and Students
The New Jersey Technology Education Association has just expanded to now include Engineering Educators along with the current membership comprised of Design and Technology Educators. The membership voted to approve a name change by a margin of over 87%. The New Jersey Technology Education Association will now be known as the New Jersey Technology and Engineering Educators Association. As an association, we now need to update our logo and website to reflect this name change.
The Challenge
Design a logo for the New Jersey Technology and Engineering Educators Association that reflects all members and our mission as an association.
NJTEEA Mission Statement:
The mission of the New Jersey Technology and Engineering Educators Association is to foster the development of technological literacy through Technology and Engineering programs in the state of New Jersey. Specifically, New Jersey Technology and Engineering Educators Association will:
- Provide curricular and instructional models through a program of professional development for its members.
- Recognize exemplary Technology and Engineering Education teachers and school programs through an awards program.
- Advise its members as needed of changes in state law as well as national trends critical to the field of Technology and Engineering Education.
- Promote technological literacy through partnerships with individuals and organizations within and outside of the field of Technology and Engineering Education.
The logo will be used to promote the association on our website, letterhead, and other promotion materials.
Requirements
- Logo must be submitted as a digital JPEG file; no hard copy needed
- Be able to be printed on an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of paper
- Be original work; no copyrighted material
- Be submitted along with an explanation (Microsoft Word Document or PDF) of the logo, not to exceed one page
- Must be producible as a one-color design (full color version can also be included for use on web materials)
How to Submit
Must be submitted electronically to njtea@njtea.org no later than OCTOBER 21st, 2011.
NJTEEA reserves the right to reject any or all submissions or to ask that the original artist make modifications to the current design to improve the logo’s usability for printing on various materials or promotional items.
