2018-2019 State Officers

 Vice-President: Jessica Kaiser

Jessica Kaiser

Hello New Jersey TSA! My name is Jessica Kaiser and I am a senior at Freehold Township High School. I am your 2018-2019 NJ TSA State Vice President, and this is my seventh year within the organization. When I had first joined in middle school, I had little knowledge of what STEM even stood for. Within that year I was challenged not only in the state and national competitions but also within the activities of my very own chapter. Nothing was more rewarding or invigorating than pushing the boundaries of my own thinking and being able to create a project that I was truly proud of. Over the years, I have attended three national and five state competitions. I have placed in a plethora of both national and state events, in which I have discovered many new interests. TSA has played a large part in expanding not only my interests but also skills within the STEM field. Also, this organization has inspired me to further pursue my STEM interests in college. As your NJ TSA State Vice President, I am eager to make this year great for the organization!

Secretary: Regan Riehl

Regan Riehl

My name is Regan Riehl, and I am your New Jersey TSA State Secretary. I am currently a junior at Colts Neck High School, and this is my sixth year in TSA. I have attended five state and national conferences, where I have placed in events including Essays on Technology, Debating Technological Issues, and Prepared Presentation. I have also been a part of my chapter’s TEAMS and VEX robotics teams.  I am a member of the Technology Honors Society and a recipient of the Gold Award. In previous years, I have served as New Jersey’s TSA Parliamentarian as well as my chapter’s President, Parliamentarian, and Secretary. TSA has been played a pivotal role in my life, and I am thankful to be able to continue my journey with such a phenomenal association with an incredible membership. Outside of TSA, I am enrolled in my high school’s Law and Public Service Learning Center. In my spare time, I am an active member in my school’s Junior Statesman Alliance, Model UN and Red Cross Club. I also love to perform in school and community theater. I am certain that, together, we can “model the way” for another successful year in TSA.

Treasurer: Kate Donnelly

Kate Donnelly

Hi New Jersey TSA! I am Kate Donnelly and I am currently a junior at the Marine Academy of Science and Technology on Sandy Hook. This will be my second year in TSA and I am excited to be your State Treasurer and for the year ahead of us. Last year I attended nationals in Atlanta, Georgia where I competed in Fashion Design and Technology. Outside of TSA, I have danced for 13 years and love to swim and run. I am so excited to be on the officer team this year and have a good year!

Sergeant-At-Arms: Khushi Sabuwala

Khushi Sabuwala

Hi New Jersey TSA! My name is Khushi Sabuwala and I am your 2018-2019 State Sergeant-at-Arms. I am currently a sophomore at High Technology High School and this is my fifth year in TSA. Since 6th grade I have attended State conferences every year and two National Conferences. I have placed in a variety events at both levels, and this has broadened my interests in STEM related fields. Outside of TSA, I have pursued Indian classical dancing for over 10 years and have begun teaching last year. In addition to this I enjoy playing the trumpet and am honored to be my school’s jazz band director this year. In my free time, I’m always up for watching a game of football or baking something at home. TSA has greatly impacted my life and contributed in shaping my goals for the future. Going into TSA, I had no idea that this organization would foster not only an interest in pursuing STEM, but also develop leadership and communication skills. I am looking forward to another rewarding year in TSA and hope that I can make it a great one for all of us!

Reporter: David Wagenblast

David Wagenblast

Hello NJ TSA! I’m David Wagenblast, your 2018-2019 State Reporter! I’m a Sophomore at Howell High School, and I’m currently in my 4th year of TSA. I am grateful to have attended two national conferences, in Nashville and Atlanta. Other than TSA, I love to participate in other interests and extracurriculars such as Debate Club, Junior State of America, and the Police Athletic League. I’m also on track to participate in my School’s International Baccalaureate program. TSA has given me an amazing opportunity and has strengthened my love for STEM. I look forward to yet another amazing year in TSA, and I hope as Reporter I can make a difference for the NJ TSA!

Historian: Evan Wax

Evan Wax

My name is Evan Wax and I am your 2018-2019 State Historian. I am currently a junior at Clearview Regional High School, and this is my third year in TSA. I have attended two state competitions so far and have placed in STEM Careers and Chapter Team. In 2017, I was fortunate enough to attend the National Conference in Orlando, Florida after placing first in STEM Careers at the state level. It was an experience that I will cherish and never forget. I hope to return to the National Conference this year as a state winner and maybe even a candidate for national office. When I am not hard at work on my TSA competitions, I serve as a school representative in many local academic and community service organizations. The rest of my time is devoted to performing arts. I have danced, sung, and acted in musicals ever since I was six years old. Since then, my sister has been a big inspiration for me on and off stage. All in all, I am very excited to be on the New Jersey State Board and I can’t wait to see what the new year brings!

Parliamentarian: Jimmy Guinee

Jimmy Guinee

Hello New Jersey TSA! My name is Jimmy Guinee, and I am your 2018-2019 NJ TSA State Parliamentarian. I am currently a Sophomore at Howell High School, and couldn’t be more excited to be working with you this year! This is my fifth year in TSA, and I have attended three national conferences, where I competed in events such as Problem Solving and Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and I have won first place two years in a row at the annual NJ TSA Leadership Conference. I have placed in numerous events at States, and am proud to have earned and be a recipient of the National TSA Gold Achievement Award and to become a member of the National TSA Technology Honor Society. TSA has played an immense role in my life, and helped me to not only discover my love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, but also taught me to be a better leader and role model through serving three years on my chapter board, and spearheading various competitive events. Outside of TSA, you can find me swimming for my High School, participating on Howell’s student and class councils, being an active member of my school’s International Baccalaureate program and enhancing my knowledge with computers and the STEM field as a whole. I’m looking forward to this school year, and what we will accomplish together in New Jersey TSA!
