2022-2023 State Officers

President: Sahil Maher

Sahil Maher

Greetings! It is my humble honor to be serving a second term as your New Jersey TSA State President. I am a senior at Freehold Township High School and this counts my seventh and final year in TSA. Over the years, I have attended six state and five national conferences, some of which were held via virtual platforms, and placed in events including Debating Technology Issues, Leadership Strategies, STEM Animation, Community Service Video, and TEAMS. And if there’s anything to take away from the past couple virtual years, it’s that our delegation is resilient and constantly innovating, to which I applaud each and every member, officer, and advisor for. This year’s itinerary holds priceless value to the continued success of our association through the number of initiatives and opportunities established by the state. Outside of TSA I am a swim instructor, lifeguard, swimmer, volunteer supervisor with the American Red Cross, and clinical shadow. The goal for this year is to put our best foot forward! After everything TSA has taught me, I thank you all for the esteemed opportunity to serve once more as our delegation’s leader. Can’t wait to meet everyone at the Leadership and State Conferences and make this year exceptional!

Serving as your State Sergeant-at-Arms last year was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I’m looking forward to doing even more this year to bring NJ TSA to its greatest potential. In the past, I’ve competed in the Geospatial Technology, Webmaster, and Architectural Design competitions, with Geospatial being my personal favorite. Outside of TSA, I’m active in my school’s Academic Team and Student Government, and I love reading in my free time. I wish everyone the best of luck this year in the competitive events, and I can’t wait to see you all at the State Conference!

As my first year on the TSA State Board I am over the moon that I can make a difference in the community I care so much about. I want to make this year one of the best TSA has ever seen.
