Students Place 10th in Nationals after visiting Bristol Glen

Executive Director Scott Norton was most happy to welcome faculty and students from High Point Regional High School to learn about Bristol Glens Memory Support Residence. The visit was made to gather information on creating such a residence from beginning to end in order to meet the needs of individuals with Alzheimers. Scott spent an afternoon with the group touring and answering questions specific to the Memory Support area to give ideas in the development of their model.
A letter and the photographs shown were recently received from Mr. Clark thanking Scott for his time and expertise:
We were able to compare our preliminary model to your facility and viewing your facility helped us drastically change our design to place third in states, and tenth in the nation at the 2010 Baltimore TSA national conference. There were many changes that were considered and added after our visit with Mr. Norton. Our room sizes increased, our courtyard sizes increased, the building was better designed to engage wanderers, our building incorporated a lot more security, a homelike atmosphere was created for our patients, and an abundance of storage was created. Along with other cutting edge design incorporation such as LEED certification, ADA compliancy, energy efficiency and environmentally safe materials, our project was able to place tenth in the nation.Without Mr. Nortons help and guidance, this project would never have become what it is. Bristol Glen was able to help us place tenth in the nation, a feat which wont soon be forgotten.
