With the start of the New Year, new movies are being released, and many are predicted to break the box office. Even though many different movies are being released this year, each is predicted to reach its intended audience and break record goals. Today I will display the most likely movies to reach the top 5 over the course of this year. Overall, this can help in the STEM field, especially with TSA, as in each of these movies, everybody starts somewhere. Making movies is similar to the event Digital Video Production in that team members collaborate to create a situation based on a prompt in the form of a short film. In STEM, there isn’t a limited amount of opportunity, as many fields such as movie production have enormous amounts of opportunity.
In a popular TSA, event called “Digital Video Production,” participants have to create a situation based on a broad prophecy where they can explore their imaginations to make a short movie. Basically, this allows members to express their creativity in ways they had not imagined prior.
For number 5, the movie that is most likely to reach this spot based on Google data and previous movies is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Leap, which is being released on February 17. The trilogy of Ant-Man in the Marvel universe has overall exceeded expectations with every release, and this movie introduces the main villain of the next 3–4 years. In these types of movies, there are heavy amounts of planning, editing, and more that need to be taken care of to establish the best possible movie. This movie was science-based in its plot, and its actual production was highly needed. Engineers, mathematicians, and more are required to create large movies.
Fast X, the fourth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, is most likely to reach the fourth place spot. This series has a place in the public’s hearts due to the characters’ hidden meanings, such as “family forever,” conveyed by the actors Vin Diesel and more. Many of the original characters are returning for this movie, and critics predict it will easily hit the top five at the box office in 2023. In a movie such as this, the number of STEM workers is extremely vital to everything involved. Engineers and others are required to further develop and tweak the camera, and shooting everything at such high speeds is never-ending when producing the film.
The movie most likely to reach the third spot is Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part 1, with Tom Cruise reprising his role as the main character. This franchise has had massive success in the past year, and with Tom Cruise’s return, this could quickly become one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023. With the new stunts planned in this sequel to Mission: Impossible 7, the box office expects to break all of its previous records by hitting billions faster than audiences even know. Overall, all of Tom Cruise’s movies have been big hits, but in the shadows, there are people spending so much time developing the movie and actually allowing for all the stunts and everything else to happen. Everything involved, such as plane usage, requires lots of hard work, which takes time and effort. These individuals work in STEM fields and may have been inspired by something they did in the past or even in TSA.
Megan, which can be ranked second, is the most likely to achieve this spot. Even though this movie was already released, it has broken some records, earning $90 million in its opening weekend. For some clarification, this movie is a horror movie with an R rating, so young audiences should not watch it. In addition to its record-breaking profits, a week after the movie’s release, a sequel was announced for early 2025. Horror movies typically get canceled quickly, except for some; however, this movie is easily reaching the top and will possibly become the top 2 at the end of the year. Overall, out of many movies, horror movies involve many tedious tasks concerning many aspects, and people in various fields help make this possible. Without the people in the industry helping with the behind-the-scenes work and the actual movie, there could not be a successful movie.
Out of every movie on this list, the one that critics online plus Google data indicate is most likely to hit the number one spot for the highest-grossing movie of 2023 is The Super Mario Bros. Movie. I know, this may sound absurd, but it is proven from online data that this movie has the best chance to reach the highest profits overall due to the combined animations from the Minions movie, the Despicable Me series, and more. Furthermore, the bare minimum within the first few weeks is $900 million, which will set an all-time high for an animated film. Sweeping the Rest, though, is an animated movie because animators, also known as graphics designers, and more have to spend thousands of hours involving every single action the characters take. Many of these films would not be possible without people from STEM fields, such as designers, programmers, and others in the technology and science fields. And many of these movies helped millions of kids grow up with many lessons learned along the way, proving how vital stem fields are to the production of movies.
Overall, even though these are some of the top 5 movies that are predicted to break box office records, many more movies throughout the year have a chance, and I hope you all can go and enjoy those movies in theaters. Furthermore, with movies influencing millions of people’s lives, science, technology, and other factors at work are the result of people in STEM fields working hard in a vast sea of opportunities. All the movies and people started from somewhere, such as small competitions and more, where they were able to find an interest and fully express their creativity in many ways. Without the STEM field and the people in it, many movies would not have been possible, and our society could be completely different. Now that it is possible, you all could try a digital video production event and enjoy it so much, you may write your own record-breaking movie someday.
