Winter Design Challenges

Winter Design Challenges

What’s up, NJ TSA members! We hope everyone has had an amazing holiday season, and you are well-rested to get a kick start on your projects. With the State Conferences being just a mere 3 months away, it’s time to start buckling down on your projects. Competition is, in general, a contest or rivalry between two or more organisms, animals, individuals, economic groups or social groups, etc., for territory, a niche, for resources, goods, for mates, or even for the win of a TSA competition. Make this year your year, and don’t wait until the last minute to prepare for the State Conferences!

I wanted to take this time to introduce some of the new competitions we are offering as our Winter Design Challenges. First, I’d like to state that the theme for all of the winter design challenges is the Super Bowl, and for more information on any of these competitions, please visit: https://njtsa.tcnj.edu/2017-winter-design-challenges/. The first competition we have introduced this year is the Faux Cake Competition. You must design a fake cake to fit the theme, and this can be done using clay, foam, etc. The second competition we have introduced is Jewelry Design, and we are very eager to see all your designs. The third competition is Interior Design, so be creative! We have also introduced Upcycle Flower Arrangement, and in this competition, you will construct a floral arrangement with 80% or more recycled material. And the final competition is Landscape Design. These are all new competitions, and we really want to see what the members think. All submissions are electronically, it is free to enter, and if you have any questions be sure to ask!

That wraps up this month’s blog post! We, the officers, are very eager to see how the changes this year turn out and hope you are, too. Remember to start your projects early, and let’s rock this new year!. Don’t forget to follow our official NJTSA Instagram @nj_tsa and Twitter @NewJerseyTSA! #MADEINTSA
